Michigan State University Police: Bomb threat was a hoax

This Tuesday, I received the alert message and call from Michigan State University to find a place to secure if we were on campus since I am a MSU student. The message was about a bomb threat. This was not the first time we received a alert message to secure at Michigan State University. Although it looks not that safe on campus occasionally, the alert system is excellent. It gives students a alert in time. But it still means that there were some dangerous accident occurred in our daily life.
This is what the news about:
"Michigan State University Police received a bomb threat Tuesday stating a device was placed somewhere on the East Lansing campus.
It turned out to be a hoax, according to campus police.
Everyone on campus was being asked to secure in place until further notice from MSU police.
The secure-in-place has been canceled."

  1. It is good that there is an alert system set up, it's sad that one needs to be in place at all but schools need to be prepared. I live in Florida and a few weeks ago there was a shooting in the library on campus. Their alert system was triggered and people were warned to stay in lock down in order to stay safe.
